On Android devices, NearBee generally scans for beacons for a few seconds after the screen is turned on. If the screen has not been turned on in a while, the device will not discover new beacons.
If the notification has recently been dismissed on a device, that device will show another notification for a period of time, usually at least an hour, and only if the device has been out of the range of the beacon and come back in again. This is known as backoff policy and resets once the user opens the NearBee app.
