Beacons can send notifications based on the default language that they have set on their devices. This personalisation is a useful feature when your business is located in a region that is populated by people from different parts of the world.

For example, a user who has her phone’s default language set as Korean can be sent a notification in Korean.

1. Will the Notifications that I type in English be translated automatically to the language set in the user’s phone?

No, you have to manually select the language and type in the translated notifications from the dashboard.

2. How many languages does your platform support?

We support 139 languages.

3. Will a smartphone whose default language doesn’t match any of the set language receive a notification?

No, a device cannot receive a notification unless its default language matches one of the languages that you have set.

4. Why does the language drop-down menu ask for a default language?

You can set one of the languages as a default language, which means that Physical Web and CloseBy notifications will use that language as they don't currently support multiple languages.
