Creating a QR Code based form on Beaconstac
Step 1: Select Form QR Code
Select 'Create QR Code' and select 'Forms'.
Step 2: Select your form template
If you have already created forms on Beaconstac, you will be able to choose from them using a dropdown menu. If you still wish to create a new form, select 'Create new form'.
On the page that appears, you can pick from several pre-defined form templates, or create your own from scratch. For the purpose of this tutorial, we will create a new form from scratch.
Step 3: Setup the form
It's time to start creating your form.
In the Create tab, define your question as follows:
Choose the Type of response that you want to obtain from the user, such as long or short form, yes/no answer, etc.
To make this question mandatory, toggle on 'Required'.
Enter your Question.
Provide a brief Description of your question.
Optionally, you can add an image that will help the user understand your statement better.
Once done, click 'Add To Form' to add the question to your form. Similarly, add all your questions to the form.
You can add a logic jump to create a pathway for users to follow based on their responses. To do so, click 'Logic Jump' in the right corner of each question. You can redirect users to specific questions based on their responses, or skip them directly to the Thankyou screen.
You can also track the score of each user based on their responses. This is ideal for form-based quizzes. To do so, click on the more options icon in the right corner of each question, and click 'Calculator'.
You can further customize the form with the design section and change the theme and layout of the form.
You can also set the default language, add a Facebook pixel ID or Google Adwords ID for retargeting and enable email notifications to notify you or the respondent when the form is filled.
Once you've finished creating your form, click 'Finish' above the preview screen.
You will be redirected back to the 'Setup' window where you can pick your new form using the dropdown menu.
Step 3: Customize the QR Code
Now that you've setup your form, it's time to customize the QR Code. You can edit the pattern, the frame, the eyes and the color of the QR Code in a matter of minutes.
