Custom parameters are advanced URL parameters you can add to your Linkpage button URLs. You can enhance your Linkpage’s tracking abilities with custom parameters once someone scans your QR code.
This article explains the steps to set up custom parameters on your Linkpages.
Prerequisites
Custom parameters can only be added to pre-existing Linkpages.
Note: You can enable/disable passing parameters to your button URLs with the toggle button under Pass Parameters under Advanced Settings under Step 3 of setting up a Linkpage.
Add custom parameters to your Linkpages
Go to Create on the top right of your dashboard.
Choose QR code from the dropdown menu.
Click on Linkpage as the dynamic QR code type.
Choose the Linkpage you want to add parameters to from the dropdown menu.
Note: These parameters will be added to all the button links of your chosen Linkpage.
Note: You can edit an existing Linkpage or create a new Linkpage here. We will choose an existing Linkpage from the dropdown menu for this article.
Click on Parameters.
Click on Add new parameter under Manage Parameters.
Add Parameter name and Value
Click on Add parameter to finish.
Note: You can add another parameter and its corresponding value by clicking Add parameter again. The new custom parameters will be added behind the previous parameters at the end of the link on all your Linkpage button links. You can also edit and delete your custom parameters here.
You can add as many custom parameters as you want to your Linkpage.
Click on Save.
Click on Next to customize the look of your Linkpage’s QR code.
Click on Next to finish.
Enter a name for the QR code and click Save.
Your QR code is now ready!
You can also Download your QR code by clicking on Download QR code below the preview on your right.
Click on Finish to get done.
Scan your QR code to go to your Linkpage. Click on any button to check for the newly added custom parameters.
